College 1st is seeking undergraduate and graduate students, as well as professionals, who want to make a significant impact in different communities across the State of Texas. Our mission consists of promoting to PreK-12th grade students the importance of completing a post-secondary education, exploring different career opportunities, and sharing the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve college, and career success.

 

We work with students on their future. We implement dynamic and engaging academic enrichment activities in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and the Medical Industry fields. We make this both fascinating and rewarding for the students. We also implement family engagement sessions where we promote the importance of a college education, define college readiness, and involve parents in their children's education. This is the work that is making a significant difference in the communities we serve.

At College 1st, motivation and aspiration are created by students for students. Our College 1st instructors facilitate the implementation of academic enrichment activities and career exploration sessions, becoming role models and mentors for students. Our ultimate goal is the creation of a culture in Texas where a college education is no longer seen as an uncertain option, but rather an expectation for prosperity.

Requirements:

 

• This internship position is open to undergraduate, graduate students, and professionals with diverse backgrounds

• Students or professionals of all majors are welcome to apply. We love diversity

• Outstanding writing, reading, and presentation skills

• Experience working on team projects

• Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and creative skills

• Experience working with social media platforms and computer programs such as graphic design and video editing programs (preferred)

• Experience working in Community Outreach Programs (preferred)

• Clear Criminal Record - background checks will be processed as required by school districts (Mandatory)

 

Those selected for this competitive internship program will gain valuable professional experience, letters of recommendation (if applicable), and the ability to expand their knowledge of career opportunities. These are paid positions and are open to undergraduate and graduate college students, as well as professionals in any field.
